Another Robin from the arid inland regions of South Australia, this one taken in the middle of nowhere about 300klms from home and 100klms along a rough dirt road walking through a snake infested seasonal swamp....the things you do for birding

Cloned out a couple of sticks directly behind the head and bottom of bird and a small section of tree trunk on the left hand side, and rest just basic editing, using playback to call this one in close.

    Canon 7D + 500 f4....f8, 1/640, ISO 400 + 0.7EV, no flash, tripod mounted

Beautiful bird and very nice shot.
Looks like pretty strong light by the looks of the shadow on the branch and the angle of the catch light but you handled the exposure very well. Good job

    Phil,
Excellent image with beautiful composition.Very nice pose with good HA, perch and colors. On my monitor it looks like that bird might need little sharpening.

    Regards,
    Satish.

A very pretty bird. Very well taken considering the light. I also feel the image needs a bit more sharpening on the bird.
