    Default Bat-eared Fox, South Africa

Took this shot during a raptor tour in South Africa in January. We were mostly looking for raptors like Martial Eagles and bit cats (had great views of all 3 big cats there) when we come across those youngster.

    Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

Taken with EOS 7D, 4/300L IS + 1.4x, handheld from car.

    I really like those ears!

What gorgeous creatures, and you have captured them so well. Excellent EXP, details and I love their proximity to each other.

Those ears are huge and you have brought out very good detail. Nice poses and they look relaxed.

Hi Markus, one of the nicest BEF images I've seen for a while, and agree with Sid's comment 100%. Great to see you got as close as you did and that they were very relaxed with your presence.

Just a small point, but looking at the image in PS it has no tagged Profile i.e. sRGB and therefore when viewed, to me, you could reduce the Red overall as this brings some more neutrals back into the image. Just my thoughts.

    Hi Markus,
love these little buggers. All important things in an image are just good to my eyes, well done.No need of tweaking the reds ,from here.

Nice "twofer" that provides a good profile as well as head on view.

    Hi Markus,
A wonderful composition and a very special subject. i find it is really difficult to get close before the Bat eared foxes scatter, so well done in getting this capture.
    TFS and best wishes,
    Mark.

    Markus,

Beautiful shot of the wonderful animals, I am deeply envious, never got them to sit still long enough.
