Hi folks ... a simple image from earlier this year at my " set up "
Bullfinch is used to human presence , so not really needed to hide myself

    Canon EOS R 6 II
    EF 500 IS L + 1,4 TC
    Tripod

    F 9 ; Iso 16.000 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DT 4.8.1 and PSCC 2024 ; cropped for comp and removed one stick on RHS

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

    Cheers Andreas

Andreas, I know they're reasonably common there but I wish he had them.

When did you get the R6ii? Still have your R3 also?

Pretty astounding for ISO 16000! What is DT and what are you using for NR?

Is this one immature? The orange/pink on the breast seems lighter and thinner than some other images of them I've seen.

Overall, it's a very nice frame with delicate details in the plumage. I like the lichen and also that the tail fits within the "v" at the right end.

Too bad that back foot wasn't in focus but hard to nit honestly.

Thanks amigo ... glad you like the Bullfinch as species and as my posting
I think you have so many special species in your country .... no need to be " envious " LOL !!!
The color of the breast does vary from individual to individual .... from kind of deeper red over pale rosy red to even some kind of orange . They appear for sure different in different light .... as all of our subjects do . This individual is fully mature .

R6 II since jan 2024 ... still have the R3 and ordered just the R5 II . Will sell the R6 II ...

Noise reduction at high iso through DXO PureRaw 4 , at lower Iso through Neat Image in PS .
DT is DarkTable .... a very complex raw converter , not for the faint hearted folks : More for the fiddlers amongst us .... LOL . Is an open source tool ... no cost . Moved completely to that piece of software for some time now . I was always hoping Canon would improve the DPP software ... but nothing is happening on that front .

    Cheers Andreas

Very nice Andreas. The bird looks real good. Lovely pose and HA. Colours on the bird look spot on. Nice coloured BG which shows the bird well. Nice perch, if mine I would remove the part going over the top of the tail, at least part of it, but that's my opinion. Yes, the motion blur on the foot does draw the eye a wee bit.

Looks like you have a good set up there. Hope you get all sorts of birds showing.
