    I captured this image this year at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 500mm F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF, camera and lens supported by a monopod
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +1 1/3 ISO 1000 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 500mm (750mm 35mm Equivalemt)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Topaz Sharpen AI, removed a couple misplaced out of focus branches for composition

    This is a nice frame, I think a bit more headroom and maybe placing the bird slightly further to the left might result in a more pleasing composition. The background leaves a bit to be desired but I do like the way the two branches form a V while framing the bird. I also think a bit more contrast and clarity on the bird wouldn't hurt.

    Sweet bird, Joe, I think a bit more room at the top would work.. I like the soft BG except for the vertical brown stalk on the left which I might take out...

    Hi Joe, good look back pose, and I like the curved perch. The foliage breaks the high key BG, and works for me.

    I like how the perch is curved. A nice look across the frame pose. The branches in the background are out of focus enough to work.
