    Fantastic image.

I liked the eye contact, wing position and overall sharpness on the body..

I wish the right wing also could have been in focus.

Super image. You probably would have needed to stop down a little to get the right wing in focus, but not that big of a deal. Still a great image. The 500 PF is next on my gear list.

Hard to imagine a more dynamic top shot pose plus a killer BKGR. I am pretty sure that the right wing issues are the result of motion blur as d-o-f is very close to 50/50 at 500mm. Crop-factor bodies add d-o-f as the subject is farther from the camera,

    Is thus cropped?

    With love, artie

ps: Steve Elkins has been getting Nikon 500 PFs and SONY 200-600s (and SONY and Nikon 600s and Canon 600 IIIs for my blog folks iin short order regulaly in receny months. Thank you for the comment Artie.

I contacted Steve Elkins with Bedfords on mid September and placed the order for the 500PF. I thought it was going to be a long wait, but to my surprise somebody called me from Bedfords on October 31st to let me know that they have received my lens and it was ready to be shipped. Got the lens on the next day with the FREE overnight delivery and I also got a $50 discount when I used the BirdsAsArt coupon. Really happy with this lens, is really a joy to use.

Thank you Alex, Yes! Does jumping up and down for a few minutes count as thrilled?
