Default what a pose by Big Red

Nothing better to be sitting or lying in the shallow ocean water and share company with a reddish egret; my absolute "go to" place whenever i need a virtual escape... I love the positioning of his body and then the somewhat 90 degree stealth turn. Wings up, radar on, feet positioned different ways for options, and that convergence of intent to slay his prey, all in one bird! So I'm getting carried away...
Almost full frame, I chose this frame because of the position he was in before the strike. His eyes are looking straight down on the fish, so i am pleased with the HA for this specific frame, its behavior...

Wow Ann ,love the wings and out of position leg.Colors are great. Wish we had just a little more eye contact. really like the open wings first thing that gets my attention. Trailing water droplets add too. TFS

What a pose indeed. Light looks great and the low angle is right on. Nice how you can see both eyes.

Looks like a matador... Really like it, I like the head in the hunting position, doesn't bother me at all.

This really shows his hunting dance nicely. Love the light and detail on the wings.

Pretty much perfect; ditto all the superlatives above. Great that you can see both eyes ...
