    Default Semipalmated Sandpiper in space

Another one from Alabama. I was laying in the water and shooting over a slightly raised sand bar trying for this exact effect. Lighter foreground is reflection of sky on surface of bar; darker BG is deeper bay.

Simplify, simplify, simplify! I don't care the legs aren't sharp - not one bit!

One cool image... Very unique canvas and I love the running pose. Maybe a little less on the bottom, nah, looks awesome as is..... TFS

Well seen and executed- but if you want this look just come to Nova Scotia in the winter! Who needs a sandbar when you have ice!
I like the blues in the image and icy whites.
A couple of spot (under the chin and on side) are a bit hot but might be recoverable. Not a deal breaker.

Wow this sandpiper has its own infinity pool. Very unique, I like it, well done Dorian.

Very pretty image. I like it as it is, although would also like to see a version in which the dividing line was less symmetrical, particularly as the 'reflection' is smaller than the main subject. Really well though out.

Dorian: always great to see something different (I've noticed your inclinations here). I really like the pose, HA and how the BG contrasts so well with the bird's colouring. The graduated reflection really takes it up a notch. If it were mine I would take some off the bottom though. Always enjoy seeing your photos Dorian.

Fantastic view with the sandbar being so prominent - well seen and captured. Do you by any chance have a frame just before or after with more of a walking pose with the rear leg going forward - that would really finish it off for me

A total stunner. What is the date on this one? It is a male for sure with that tiny bill and note the greenish legs ...
