Tim, I very much like the minimal look to this, just a red fox, a small conifer and white snow & plain bkgd! Great composition with the fox sitting upright similar to the position of the conifer, and both being nicely balanced in size. The tilt of the conifer towards the fox adds a subtle frame to the fox, keeping your eye focused on the main subject. A very engaging image of the fox with his looking straight at you and the tip of his red tongue visible. Did you pay this fox to pose so well?? Details and colors all look good to me. One very small thought would be to clone away that one OOF branch on the far right side of the conifer that is shaped like a dog-leg and pointing out to the right edge. I would probably also clone away that pale gray line of snow right below it as it also is leading out of the image. This could be a terrific greeting card!

    Hi Tim
i really like this a lot , i would just simply echo Nancy . Agree with her comment and suggestions.I think if you add a mid tone adjustment just to the fox, to give the subject a bit more oomph, could look better, just my 2 cents.

    Very nice , TFS Andreas

Nice, Tim. Clear, sharp, nice colors & exposure. Had it been mine then I would have cropped a 2nd version with the fox only so I can have a closer look into those beautiful eyes!

    Hi Tim,
I don't comment very often on wildlife but I had to comment on this image.
    It is absolutely beautiful.
The IQ, the color balance, the placement of the fox between the little hill and the tree are wonderful.
10 out of 10 from me!

Tim, You surely nailed this shot. Everything about it works. Your camera settings, the processing. And the fox also did his part. Wonderful image.
