    Default Harrier against snow

I have many harrier frames under my belt but this was a unique frame from SoCal. The recent storms has brought an early wave of snow across the state and the snow covered mountain tops provided a unique back drop for this image. Hope you like it

Fabulous. Rich colors, and great detail standing out from the light background.

Fabulous it is, I like a little more mountain definition so pop out and have another go.

    Arash:

Great dorsal view, look back head position, beautifully exposed. The background adds a lot, as it encourages you to look at it to figure out the location, without detracting from the subject. Not what I would expect from California!

    Cheers

BG is really nice. This does not seem as sharp as your usual.
Still plenty sharp, just doesn't have your usual "snap" to it.

Thank Dan I looked again it looks tack sharp on my NEC. That’s how the juvi harrier plumage looks as I have pointed out a few times before.

    thanks

Very cool and unique frame. Love the pose and BG. Color palette is great and the bird has a nice catchlight. No nits from me, wouldn't have guessed CA. TFS

Unusual Harrier frame, with mountainous BG. Great dorsal pose. Much as I like my D500 and my 500PF, one of the annoying features of that combo when used with the TC-14E III is that I can't open up more than f/8. I'm assuming that is not an issue with the D850.

Sorry. I do not like it. I frigging love it. The pose itself is amazing and the look-back is amazing. And the 500 OF at 700mm. Borderline hard to believe.

Hi Bill, like the D500 AF at f/8 isn't ideal for flight with the D850 either, both are slow. Only and only the D5 can focus well at f/8. Here I had no choice other than using this combo since the bird was far and I didn't have my Big Six.
