This is an image I worked on this summer, my sister really likes Puffins (who doesn't), so I was trying to work on an image that could be transferred to canvas and look ok..

I worked on this for a while and then forgot about it till today, I copied, pasted the Puffin in, close to the edge for some added color.
    Fotosketcher watercolor...
Used a brush to paint in the rocks under the bird..added a leg...then framed
I wanted most of the emphasis on the waves crashing the rocks.
It seemed to be perfect for the theme...and Christmas still a ways off, so I've got time to work on it some more

Shoreline was from Honduras, Puffin from Iceland.... :o ... added the frame.

Thanks for looking, hope you all have another great week .....

Paul, this is awesome! I really like the idea and execution. I might have done some cloning on the left edge so that the repeating of the main image was not so apparent and moved the puffin a bit away from the edge of the frame. I like this a lot! :)

Paul, I hate to say this but ditto Kerry. Those were my two observations. I really like the filtering on this one! Excellent idea and the wave is killer!

Icelandic Puffin in Honduras! must be global warming :p Fantastic idea and execution. Love it, Paul. Just that minor cloning work... and you got a winner here.

Great combination. I like the more-blurred frame, helps focus on the puffin and sea. Good thoughts!

Thanks for all your comments, I moved the puffin a touch and did a bit of cloning work on the sides...

The repost makes it. My thoughts on the original also was the puffin was to close to the edge

Paul, moving the puffin looks great. To me I really like the OP right hand side except for the puffin being a little too close to the edge. The right looks like a continuation of the inside image which I like. On the repost it doesn't, so if it were mine, I'd leave the right the way it is in the op (except for the puffing moving in)
and make the left side look like a continuation also which you could do my cloning out the rock that is jutting up on the lower left inside so it would be a smoother transition. The top rocks on the left look like a continuation but the bottom doesn't the way it is now. (Does that make any sense at all). I like it a lot anyway!!!

Last repost looks great, Paul! I might brighten the highlights of the water and rocks a bit to better match the lighting on the puffin, but that's all. Excellent composite work, and I like the frame.
