Beautiful shot and pose Ram. The oof branches distract and whilst not a lover of excessive cloning, there are occasions when it is appropriate. if ethics permit, they are worth considering removal.
Beautiful detail on the bird and very nice background. I agree with the comment about cloning out the foreground branches.
A great shot of this bird. I enjoy seeing different birds from around the world. I too am not a fan of cloning, and branches are a natural part of the birds environment, but I would have attempted to clone out the oof branch (lower left) because of its conflict with the tail feathers.

Ram, I would agree as to "almost impossible." In 1992 when I left the NYC public school system, lots of folks told me that it would be impossible to make a living as a bird photographer. So impossible is one of my very favorite birds. I could have done a lot better with the TIFFbut this should show what is possible. It took me about 12 minutes. I also did some Eye Doctor work and lightened the shades from of the face and breast...
All work done with various techniques included in our Digital Basics PDF File: https://store.birdsasart.com/shop/ca....aspx?catid=32
BTW, did you get my "great shot" e-mail?
ps: Thanks for your membership support.

Most folks think Clone Stamp Tool when they see stuff like this and I do use the Clone Stamp a bit as the first step in Divide and Conquer, but the Patch Tool and Quick Masks are used to complete much of the work that I did on this image. And again, it is all in Digital Basics and each technique is written in an easy to understand recipe-like style. We send it to purchasers via e-mail. The bad news is that we are closed until 4 JAN (but folks can still place orders at any time)![]()

Ram, very nice bird and a like the colors of the BG as well as the overall sharpness. Obviously a busy scene to start with, but I am very impressed with Artie's re-post. Seeing that work gives me hope that many photos can be saved. Artie, how long did that take you to do that?
Bryan, From Pane #7: It took me about 12 minutes. Maybe a bit more. I likely could have done a bit better as far as quality with the TIFF (but don't be sending it soon)![]()
