    James:

Nice action captured, like the open mouths, similar head angles, low shooting angle. Nice environmental feel without being overpowering. Do wish the stick between the two bird wasn't there.

I could see a crop down from the top, but it works well as is.

    Cheers

The stance of the chick is very powerful here, as is the open beak of both birds. I love the environmental feel, sticks and all, and would not change a thing! The colors work well together and the comp is right on the money.

Terrific action captured. Love the two open beaks, the running pose. Tough to make the little fuzzballs look sharp, but this one does. Environment looks fine to me. Well done.

    Hi James,

I agree with Bill - excellent capture. I also wonder a bit about cropping from the top, and extending canvas a bit to the left, to give the birds a bit more room to look into.

Love the running pose, and the open bill of the adult. Super job on the exposure, and sharp. Love the separation between the BG and the rest of the image, very nicve. Great habitat depiction too, I just wish the long branch along the bottom right edge would not have been there.

I was shooting these guys yesterday. Tough to get a clean shot and decide what to clean up...great environmental shot and great story, I like it as presented.

Very sweet. Love the way that the grasses frame the image. You can post larger sizes here, up to 1024 wide.
