Default I am a w.c. sparrow and have alighted among the verdant pines!

    Folks, hello.
This picture was taken with the Canon 7D and 70-300L at 300mm. iso800, 1/250, f5.6. This is approximately 80% of the original capture. I'd love to hear your opinions and comments and suggestions. My heartfelt thanks for your time and attention!

Real nice exposure and details. Might crop a bit more off the top and tone down the brighter lines in the BG as they are a bit distracting and tend to draw the eye away from the beautiful subject.

Thanks, folks. Joe: you make a good point. I think I'll do that. I like that we see just a little bit of his foot; would love to have seen more and also some tail, but with this bird perched before me I took all I could get, that's for sure. It was a wonderful few moments spent...in my experience white-crowned sparrows are a little on the skittish side, but this fellow was more than co-operative...

I've spent a few moments on a quick and easy repost? I do appreciate the comments above. I took a little off the top and right and did a little bit of burning-in. Although, as I spend more time looking at this, I think it might make for a pleasant vertically-oriented picture?

    Jack:

This is very sweet, soft feel, almost as if we are inside the tree. Repost an improvement.

    Well done.

    Cheers

Hi Jack, super pose amongst the soft foliage BG. Excellent sharp detail on the head too. I feel your placement in your OP is fine, I would just take some off the top.

Nice and sharp on the head; good piney environmental feeling. I agree seeing a little more of the tail would have put it over the top, but a fine image as (re) posted.
