Just finished editing my MANY images from Galveston. This was one of the real nice looking Orioles we saw and photographed.

Great light, colours and composition, Joe. The background is very nice with complimenting colours.
Is it a female or a young male?

Joe - beautifully captured with nice details, perch and bokeh.

Female I think, but not sure.

    Joe:
Nice pose, interesting perch, nice BG.

Good flash use, although it would have been interesting to see this shot with ~-1.5 fill.

Sounds like a very successful outing!

    Cheers

This is a sweet image. Beautiful colors and I like the lines created by the perch. I suspect that there's more detail hiding in some of those bright yellows.

Hi Joe, love the setting here, together with the pose, and yellows of the Oriole. Sweet BG.

    Hi Joe,
    I like everything about this.
Just wish the yellows on the chest were a bit less hot.

Beautiful image Joe, love the yellow and green with matching background. Nice perch and light too. As posted the yellows are indeed hot with some clipping on the histogram, and I could see a bit more sharpening to the face area (which seems a bit softer compared to the leaves).

I bet you have more than a few other gems to share from that trip...looking forward to them!
