    Default Greenie Walking the Plank

This was taken a couple weeks ago while riding down a creek we spotted this handsome greenie on a shady dock. The image had a very mottled background which I used the average blur filter on--not sure if this was the best approach--any other ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi Cathy! I like the pose you captured here and the comp is good as well. To my eyes, the bird could use some more sharpening and the legs look a little washed out in terms of color and detail. We'll see what others have to say because I am notorious for liking images that are too sharp:)

Thanks Joel - you are right about the image sharpness. After I posted this one, I noticed the next frame was better. I sharpened it a bit more and saturated the legs more. Thanks for the input!

The second one is way better. Too bad the left foot is cut off. You wouldn't happen to have
a frame with the other visible that you could add to this one? Or maybe even dupe the
right and put that on the left.

Hi Cathy, your repost is much nicer in all departments except for anatomy. I have to agree that the missing foot detracts from an otherwise excellent image. I must also mention head angle, a bit of a head turn your way would be nice. Of course these birds are notorious for not looking at photographers. I like the composition and I think the background looks nice.
