    Chris:

What a lovely bird, sharp, well exposed, nice display of feet.
In a perfect world, would prefer the head be turned a sliver away so bill didn't merge quite so much with body, but the trade off in eye contact might not be worth it.

I like the concept of the leaves as framing elements, but wish the upper patch not quite so close to the head, and I might tone down the brighter patch to the left side of the frame, or remove it.

A very fine image as is, which I like a lot. I missed your previous posts, was this a captive bird?

    Cheers

thanks for comments Randy, this is not a captive bird, this bird is sat on this tree which grows out of a cliff face, and below it is a 250ft+ drop,I was lying down with camera and lens,on bean bag,on edge of cliff,if I moved a few inches to my right,I would have been a goner, things you do to get a image.

Great picture of a beautiful raptor. I agree on the head turn with you, but it is a great shot as is.

Chris - very nice. Your efforts to get to the location paid off big time.

Hi Chris, lovely colour and detail captured on the falcon, and once again, I like how the upper leaves frame the falcon. I agree on having him turned his head slightly more away.

Very nice bird. I am amazed that you got that close to him. I love the leaves at the top but might remove the blurry one on the left.

Handsome close shot of a handsome bird. I would also lose the oof leaves, and might have wished for a little more head turn. But I'd be happy to have this one in my files.

Beautiful image!!! Maybe a tiny bit more sharpening on the head.

Lovely shot gorgeous colours, my first impression was that the cheek was a little soft maybe more sharpening would help. I would definitely remove the OOF leaves.
