    From Bosque del Apache, captured in mid-afternoon light. The sky was nothing but blue, a problem we have out here in the west... I borrowed a sky from another day and used it for the background.

    7D, EF400mm f/5.6L
    Manual mode, f/5.6@1/2500 ISO 400 WB 5100K

    Kerry, While I can see some shadow underneath the wings, they are still wondefully well lit. Considering you are looking up toward the bird, this would appear to be very difficult. How is this accomplished? Is the sun on the horizon? Was the bird soaring upward?
