    Default Takeaway meals

Peregrine Falcon with lunch............not common near my area, but there are a pair that nest and hunt along the Onkaparinga River, but rarely have had a chance at a photograph at anything but long range. They tend to prey upon the local Pigeons and in this case the huge populations of Corella parrots that swarm here seasonally in their thousands. I disturbed this one in the middle of his lunch and he took to the wing ...lunch in tow.

Canon 7D + 500 f4...500mm, f5, 1/1600, ISO 400, + 0.33EV, partial metering, no flash, hand held shot under dull skies.....cloned out tree branches in the background and basic tweaks in sharpening

Sorry, will have to load externally as image didn't load

    Phil:

I am not seeing an image. Can you try to repost it. Let me know if it doesn't work.

    Cheers

Phil:; It showed up now, with your link. I have copied the link about how to post images, perhaps that will help.

Nice view of head, talons and prey. Well exposed, and sharp where it counts.

    Quite the predator.

I might crop a sliver more off the let edge.

Looks like some visible post work showing along the left side of the vertical wing, at top, just a subtle light area paralleling the wing.

    Cheers

As a member, not a forum participant, you can upload from your computer without having to use a third party server? Certainly a formidable bird and looks to be in great feather condition. Agreed with Randys comments.

Phil - nice and sharp and I like the flight pose and its placement in the frame. Good suggestions by Randy.
