    Default MArbled godwit in surf

I took this image a few weeks ago early in the morning. There are a few things that bother me about the image.

    Allan:

I like it overall, with nice comp, good exposure and sharpness. Shooting angle. The two issues for me, both minor, I think the bird could go a bit brighter, and I might smooth that horizontal band in the background a bit, with some very light clone stamp work.

    Cheers

The BG color is awsome. sets off the bird very well. Maybe a bit of work on the light colored band , as mentioned, might help an already fine image.

Looks good to me, lovely background, low angle and exposure.

Very good quality, the bird could be a little brighter, bg colors are great. The lighter color band above the knees addressed.

Looks good to me. Love the low angle and walking pose. I might darken the mid tones a bit. Where was this taken?

Thanks for the comments. I will lighten the bird and try to work on the background band (may leave as I could make it worse.)

Rajan, this was at Sandy Point.

I really like this shot. Maybe a bit more blacks to add some punch to the bird and a slight more head turn but otherwise I really like it,

Nothing more to add, really I don't think it needs much improvement at all, if anything....great image !

Christopher, that is what bothered me. I will have to go back to the raw. Me thinks I used a bit too much detail extractor (Color Efex Pro.)
