Nice pose and light Nelson, the eye is clear and making good contact with the camera, but it's just not quite sharp and detailed enough. I would suggest instead of f10 aperture go to a wider aperture such as f5.6 in hope to gain more shutter speed, 1/80 speed is rather slow to freeze the action to give maximum chance of sharpness, maybe even raise the ISO to 500 or up to 800

    Hi Nelson

    nice pose,nice bird

Buff-throated Saltador in English, great chunky birds.

Phil is right on the money, no need to use f10 even from tripod get that Shutter speed as high as possible with the correct exposure of course

    Nelson:

Excellent advice from Phil and Richard. The bird is also under exposed, which happens a lot when shooting against the light background. The cameras meter is fooled by the brightness and underexposes the bird. If time allows, you can try spot metering off the bird, or simply dial in some exposure exposure for the bird and bracket your shots.

    Cheers

Good points above. Don't forget about using a bit of fill flash (in the range of -2 to -3) to open up the dark areas of the bird.
