    Default Common Redstart

    Hi everyone,

Here's another image of the Common Redstart. I look forward to photographing these birds every year and this year was no exception. Although I've spent less time with them this year I've been more successful than any other year. Here's my latest image - I've taken alot of portrait's of them over time but this one (I think) is the best so far, WDYT?

    Cheers,

    Carl.

    Beautiful BG and lookback pose.
I would crop a bit more off the RHS. I like the empty space but feel there is just too much of it!
I would also tone down the bright spots in the perch. Perch is very pretty,

I love the bird's pose, the background and the perch. Can't ask for more.

This is very beautiful, bg, perch and bird. Wish it was shot at f7.1, that would probably have gotten everything sharp. Beautiful anyway.

A little more dof would make it perfect to create sharpness front to back, but very nicely done all the same. Great perch, colors are beautiful....sweet little bird

Many thanks for the comments everyone, appreciate them.

    Gail,

Appreciate your thought's regards the space but I think it wouldn't look quite right in a vertical crop, much prefer the landscape crop.

    Cheers,

    Carl.
