    Default Barn owl

The end of another rainy day. The sun wasn't gone yet and managed to get a chance with this barn owl. It flew by 2 m from us. Veracruz, Mexico with my friend Manuel Grosselet.

Very nice bird, like the crop you made here. The soft green BG and sharp face makes this one for me! take care!

I have my one and only image of this species almost the same as this...so I have to say it's great hehehe. Like the sense of movement with the wing tips blurred and complimentary backdrop

Even the upper portion of the BG helps suggest swift movement of the owl(kinda has a time warp look to it).

Looks to have a magenta colour cast.

I like this a lot, impressed with HH at 1/160, presume you used servo AI, single spot AF or expanded CP envious you can use such high ISO with the mkiv

Amazing that you got the head sharp at 1/160.
    I like the comp.
There is a slight magenta cast to the image-easy to fix!

    Lorant:

Perfect crop, good BG, nice display of that impressive wingspan. Yes to a smidge of sharpening on head, but the image is very effective.

    Cheers

Hi Lorant, Great head on with eye contact, and I like how the detail in the BG follows the line of the owl's wings.

Awesome!! Great head-on flight and I love the blurred primaries. Good comp. I too see a slight magenta cast. Well done Lorant!

Blur is very cool here. Head a little soft as expected but I am also thinking( like Arash) that some USM there will improve this. great Bg and comp.
