Default Any one using the Really Right Stuff TVC 33 Tripod?

    Hello every one!
I have been considering to upgrade my current Manfrotto tripod and have been checking different brands and prices but the only two that I am considering, seriously, at the moment is the Enduro CT313 and the RRS TVC Versa 33. I know of several photographes using this one, in fact, Greg Basco allowed me, very kindly to check his tripod, but I would also like to know your thoughts about the RRS tripod. I know is double the price of the Enduro, but there must be some reason why is so expensive. Gitzo, no thanks.

Any help or light on this subject is most welcome.

I'm not familiar with the RRS, but I use an Induro (the AT214) and have been very happy with it.

The RRS Versa tripod is very good - a small step up from the Gitzo series 3. Workmanship is excellent - superior to Gitzo. There are a number of small features that add a little value. I would place it as the top 3 series equivalent in the market.

I've been using the Induro C-414 for my EF 500mm f/4L IS for two years and I'm very pleased with the results. You might consider spending some of your savings on the heavier 414 version. I'm using the Arca-Swiss Z1 ballhead, combined with the Wimberley Sidekick. It's a very smooth, steady, versatile combination.

Juan Carlos, it was good to see you the other day. I've seen RRS tripods (though not the exact model you mention), and while they are well-built, I really think that it's not worth it to spend the extra money. David's suggestion to go to an Induro 4 series is a good one if you are thinking about going for a 500 mm someday.

    Cheers,
    Greg

Thanks to every one who gave me some advise here, I went away with the Induro CT 313.

Let us know how you like it. I have been very happy with my Induro AT214, but I'm only using it with a 400mm f/5.6
