    Default The Topside Bank

My favorite BIF pose that I have been working on.
These are tough for me to get and get right with a dark BG.
The same settings as the previous post so maybe the same problems?

You are definitely getting better Dan. I like the HA much better and the exposure is good.Whites are not blown but still a bit hot.
I like the composition and the wing position and fanned tail.
    Where is your signature?
Good BG. A keeper for sure.

Great top view! Overall looks good. Would try to tone down the white on the head.

Beautiful topside view, Dan. Sometimes I think this pose is my very favorite flight pose. Great head angle and background. Thats definitely a hard one to get and you did great.

I don't know what problems you are referring to. Looks really fine to me. Sure, fix the white on the head (Nik tonal contrast would be my tool of choice), and then be happy. I love it Dan.

Great light on back and nice wing pose. BG very complementary and works well with main subject.

Yep, cant see any reason to complain with this shot, the light and detail on the wings is extra special and background is spot on I feel, nice smooth dof and natural forest colours

Do you use manual exposure? You don't say and with a white headed bird on a sunny day everything is tough but if it is just the background change then manual exposure would help. This is a great looking bird, I love the composition.

Hi Dan, you keep turning them out, better and better. I dont see any problems either ( whites on the head - minor ) but you have captured an excellent banking angle. Good feather detail captured, sharp, and separated nicely from the BG. I would maybe move him up in the frame a touch - a little more room below than on top. Just a personal thing.

Dan - great view, pose and sharpness. Agree about toning down the whites on the head but overall a very fine image.

Nice sharpness and detail in the topside view. I agree with the whites on the head a tad hot. A sweet one nevertheless.
