Got in very close to this cone flower...shot from directly overhead...and then played a bit with the image in Fractalius and Topaz Simplify. 180mm with 1.4x teleconverter; f/22@1/4, ISO of 800. RAW image processed in LR; added a layer of Fractalius on a layer with an opacity of 76% and then a layer of Topaz->Simplify->Buzzsim at 60%. A touch of Topaz->Clean at the end (very low opacity).

Really like the energy, and colors to this, John! The intense blue creates a great complimentary BG. Nice combination of filters to produce a wonderful, intricate, graphic design. I might tone down the white line near the upper right corner, but really nice work. Like the OP too.

John, I love the blue!! I'd like to see the center just a little brighter for a different version also.

Subdued the brighter highlight in the URC...and brightened the center a bit...thank you for the views and comments!

John, I love the graphic look to this. The colors and the filtering are perfect. Nice repost! You are doing great with the Fractalius filter.

Repost looks great, John, good call by Cheryl to brighten center. It kind of reminds me a little of a thermal image of the sun.

Another really nice, attention getting, cone flower image. (I like the repost)
