    One more painted metal door with reflections. I'm not sure I like this treatment any better than the original, but it is different and shows more 3D effect.

    Doug, the blue, rectangular part of the image - in the URC - consistently draws my eye there..if this were mine, I'd evict that small area. I'd also be tempted to do something...add a light angle, perhaps....to give some sense of directional light source or depth/presence to the image..I'm thinking out loud and need to play with the idea bit....keep these coming!

    Thanks, John. Please feel free to tinker with this image, if you want to.

    I;ll post the original shortly, just for reference.

    Here's a link to several door pics. We were walking around towns with a group and I was snapping door pics. I got some strange looks from members of our group, but not from the locals. I think they probably had a better appreciation for the beauty of the doors than most of us did.

    Here's the link, but keep in mind the images were processed last year and probably just with Bridge.

    This was one of several versions I played with..some that were pretty out there...but I didn't want to stray TOO far from the OP...be careful when you give me permission to play around!

    Interesting, subtle, abstract image, Doug, almost looks like you're looking at glass. Like the direction John takes it too. The door images on your site are really nicely seen compositions. Nice work!

    Douglas, I like them all and love your website also. The URC blue was a distraction and I like both your softer original post and John's repost. It looks like you're viewing it through water cascading over a window. Lovely work

    Douglas, I like this a lot, it has a nice abstract quality that reminds me of a watercolor. I think John made a great suggestion regarding the sliver of blue. Nice work.

    @John,
    Thanks for taking the time to repost. I like your mod - more pastel look.

    @Brendan,

    Thanks for your kind words on the "Doors below Sea Level" pics. I find doors interesting, especially those that have been around for a long time.

    @Cheryl,

    Thanks for taking the time to look at pics on my website and thanks for your kind words. You may have noticed from the door pics on the website that there are two images that are similar to the one posted here. Image #16 is the starting image for the post here. You may also notice that the image here is "upside down" from the original because I thought it looked better with the "heavy" saturated colors at the bottom of the image.
