Default White-crowned sparrow among the softer greens

    Hello folks,
A simple picture of a white-crowned sparrow for your visual perusal, taken in May with the Canon 7D and 70-300L at 300mm. iso800, 1/320, f5.6...what you'll see here accounts for approximately 70% of the original capture. I'll welcome your comments and ideas and suggestions. The white-throated sparrow is my favorite sparrow, followed closely by this species and the song sparrow. Fine birds are they!

Hi Jack, you certainly placed the sparrow nicely in the frame, and with a good look back pose. I like the detail and colours on his head, together with the greens and yellows of your BG. I wish that single piece of OOF foliage wasnt brushing the wing. Comp wise, I would take some off the top.

Nice sparrow, Jack. I like how he pops from his surrounding greenery. The upper right corner bothers me a bit as the blue makes my eye drift up that way. If you're not opposed to doing so, I'd modify this. Details on crown of bird are superb.

Nice work here Jack...I too would probably take a bit off the top ...but still a nice shot, as is.

    Did you get my email?

Good suggestions from the others. The sparrow is very nice and I like the way the surroundings are oof but still recognizable.

I like the overall softness of the green background and the sweet face of the bird is excellent. I might lighten the dark section in the top - perhaps make it a darker shade of green than the rest.
