    I found this Killdeer low to the ground sitting on something. after a closer look i found her sitting on her baby. To my surprise it was four babies under her.

    Canon EOS 7D with a Canon EF 500L IS lense with a 1.4 extender
    Manual exposure, 1/500, f5.6, ISO 800

    Nice image of the killdeer keeping the babies hid and warm. It looks a little soft and the sun was from the wrong angle. A little fill flash might have helped here.

    Excellent image of Kildeer .Agree with Jack about fill flash.Would love to see more images of chicks with face out of mothers wing.

    Cute kids but white breast toasted by poor light angle. Could you have moved well to your left?
