    Default INDIAN ROLLER

One of the most beautiful rollers found across the sub continent , this Indian Roller was perched on a dry dead tree . Had to position my safari jeep to get in the tri colour background . This was shot in Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh , a jungle which inspired Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book .

Love the colours, sharpness and BG, Rakesh. A little crop off the top is an option but plenty of space for a magazine title as a cover shot!

Gorgeous bird and light. Fantastic bg and sharpness. Very nice image.
+1 to cropping from top and optionally cleaning up the whitewash. Wish HA was a bit better.

Hi Rakesh, the angle shows off the colours so well, and overall nice and sharp. That BG is simply stunning, and wish you had moved to your left a touch more.

Perfect exposure and a very nice BG.
I am envious of the birds in your part of the world!

You are right about the tricolor background, it really compliments the birds color. It's tack sharp and well exposed.

Beautiful Rakesh, so sharp and stunning colors, the striated feathers on the neck are stunning, the background too is extra nice. Lovely pastel color tonings, and I do love the transition of color from top to bottom....over all it has a painterly look that is very pleasing to the eye..exceptionally well done !

Very beautiful bird, love the variegated BG and light. I only wish for a better head angle to make this one even better, but I am happy as is. Cheers.
