As the chicks come out of the burrow in the morning they run up and kiss mom who has been standing guard while they nap. These burrowing owls are in an agricultural area in Eastern Washington near a gravel road with wheat fields in the background.

Terrific photo, Laurie. Sweet behavior, nice DOF and focus to get all sharp and an attractive BG for these guys.

Such a pleasing image, Laurie. Superb behavior, great expressions. Your technique in getting them all in focus and sharp at 1/320 is impressive. Super well done!!

Hi Laurie, you captured the tender moment nicely - well timed. I like your angle of capture to have all four against your wheat BG, and great that they all fall in your DOF range. How fortunate you are.

This is a really nice moment you caught. Well exposed and sharp. I like the slope of the mound and the bg is nice and smooth.
