    Caught it just as it was lifting off from it's bath. Learned to time it after many hours of watching.

    800 ISO F8 at 1/2500th
    Cropped for comp and procesed in CS5
    600 f4 with 1.4 TC

    Joe nice after bath slash I would rotate it cw and crop a little tighter.

    Lovely soft light and pose is right on as well. I agree with a slight rotation.

    If I rotate it the ripples will be running downhill. It apears off due to the angle of the dark sand bar. A rotation might make it look funny???

    Joe:

    I had the same impression about needing a rotation (CW) I would try a few degrees and see how it looks.

    Good timing, exposure, drops, catchlight.

    If possible, a lower shooting angle would have gotten the sandbar from behind him.
