Beautifully framed against the green backdrop, the fine lacework in the wings stands out very well...I think I'
d be inclined to crop a bit more off the bottom though

Clean well focused image, the square crop works but I wonder about a landscape format, there is a lot of empty space at the bottom that isn't "doing anything"..

Thanks for the comments guys. I was trying to do something different with this shot than the usual bug close up that I have done so much in the past so the empty space is intentional even though I realize it may not be an appealing composition for many.
The crop is not square. The height/width ratio is .75 for a 12x16 print size.
    Thanks again for commenting...

Very nicely done...I echo the comments about perhaps making this more of a panoramic type of composition...it would seem to lend itself to that format. Great sharpness, beautiful texture captured in the wings...I am VERY impressed by some of the dragonfly shots being posted in this forum!

Hi Allen. Beautiful colors, lighting, sharpness, and background! The dragonfly is giving you a great pose. I'm debating about the comp - like the others, I might prefer a little less room at the bottom, but only to remove the bright section of stem that is drawing my eye - in any case, it's a minor point for me as this is a very strong image!
