I tracked the male in and just fired away when it looked like he would drop the vole. The very tips of female's wing were clipped so a bit of touch up and space added to left side and cropped from right. Even at 6 fps it happens so fast that I was happy to get this one.

Neat capture. I like the diagonal of the two across the frame.

Very cool and tough shot to get!
The IQ looks great, an even tighter crop would look nice with a bit off the top.

This is an excellent moment captured Dave! The placement of the birds in the frame and the release of the vole are just right. There seems to be a green cast to the underside if the birds.

Perfect timing, and obviously the lower bird has the advantage in getting the food in this shot

Great moment captured Dave, nice balanced comp, agree with Jack on apparent colour cast on underwing. So was this an "Oh sh*t!", or a "Here you go Honey" ?

Thanks everyone. I had not noticed the green cast. It must be from the wet grass.
Bruce the female is sitting on a nest so the male does double duty right now. It will be interesting to see how busy it gets when the young also need feeding.
