Oh my. This checks all my boxes and then some. Killer interaction. Story and IQ both off the charts good.
What were they fighting over - I'm sure you're wishing [what looks like] the food item wasn't hidden behind the rock.
Doesn't get any better than this. Superb work, Arno.

Arno, what a shot you got here. Giants Castle rocks for sure...the light, the shooting angle, light angle, moment, details, DOF, BG...everything is superb here. wouldn't touch a thing. this image screams 'Africa' to me.

Hi Sid, Thanks for the comments.
Sorry ,I should have given some more background . This venue is a vulture restaurant ,where bones ( sometimes whole carcasses ) are put out for the birds.
The jackals are well aware of this and often steal bones from the vultures ,generating quite interesting conflict scenarios. Apart from the occasional nip from the vultures there is normally very little physical contact between jackal and bird.
Fortunately most bones were to the left , on the rocks and out of frame.

Hi Arno, exquisite light and IQ, and great detail and sharpness on both jackal and vulture. The jackals eyes puts this over the top.
