    Default The flying eye!

I got this burrowing owl flight frame last week. This is by far the most difficult specie to get in flight if you are not using baits or an elaborate blind. They fly not just fast but very short distances. Most of the time the bird is gone out of the frame given the camera has a shutter lag. it's that fast well here is what I got, hope you like it

Hi Arash, judging by your description, well done for getting him in the frame. The eye makes this image, and overall, I do like the light, colours and sharpness on the head and eye. Killer BG too. Well captured.

You are right about that eye, and I'm surprised the iris is so wide in bright sunlight. Top skills and excellent result.

Remarkable image, Arash. I think all of us photogs can appreiate this on many levels, including the difficulty of the capture, but everyone can appreciate the beauty of the image. Really one to be proud of.

agree with you. I tried some flight shots when we had one owl down here in the winter. (a) it did not fly much and (b) when it did, it was just a small distance and very quick...and very low. This is awesome. the details, BG, light...and of course the eye. You got him at the perfect angle.

Well...,I asked for a flight picture and you delivered! I have to say that you gave me what I asked for "in spades"!!
I really like the complimentary BG.
