    taken this at weekend in Yorkshire,this tree sticks out of the cliff face,cannon500mm IS L USM,7D,700MM FL,BEAN BAG,F5.6,ISO400,1/160S,CROPED,SHARPENED,croped vertical because too many leaves and branches on left.comments good or bad welcome.

    great portrait, nice HA, BH, perch and the small blood stains on the beak add some drama

    Darn that's a lovely shot ! .....I'd go to all lengths to get a crack at this species at eye level, very inspirational photography Christopher
    Not sure about the leaves above, but I could certainly live with them in the shot, the light and color is superb

    Very cool Chris. Nice exposure, HA and details. Those talons are impressive. Would love to photograph this bird.

    That is one great portait Christopher.

    Great BG, head turn and eye contact. Would like to see it without the leaves for comparision.

    Hi Chris, great comp, leaves included, and I like the pose from the falcon. Well exposed with good detail, and love the yellow on his face. Well captured.

    Very nice...soft details, clean BG and nice pose. I am liking those leaves on top. Do you have any more room on top to add? a tad more will make it better, I think.

    This is a very attractive photo of about the coolest raptor there is.
    Soft light, nice close up and I like the foliage above.

    What a wonderful opportunity to photograph this very cool species!! I love it all, leaves included. I'm with KD for more room above, but what a killer image! You took a chance with such low SS...
