    Default WHITE RUMPED VULTURE

This is from the same jungle which Rudyard Kipling made famous in 'Jungle Book ' - The Pench Tiger Reserve . Had been on a corporate conference to the jungle , but did get a chance to hop on the safari jeep for a ride in the jungle . When we got news of vultures feeding on a kill , we rushed to the place to get a glimpse of these rare creatures . I did miss the tiger because of this one , as I missed the tiger sighting by 5 minutes :( . Had to up the ISO , as I had to shoot handheld .

Camera : Canon 1D MK III
    Lens : 600mm f4 IS
    Aperture : f 4
    Shutter : 1/1250s
    Speed : ISO 640

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

    This is so beautiful!

My only suggestion would be to maybe remove that little piece of the limb sticking out
    from behind the right wing.

Very well done at HH and a neat looking photo. I like how vulture is looking down at you. Very sharp and yet still nice and soft to look at.

Never seen such a disorganized array of breast feathers hahaha...stunning detail and do like the regal looking angle ..agree about removing the little bit of wood behind on the left. Could perhaps the eye do with a little bit of photoshop as it looks a bit dull.

I like how big in the frame it is. It feels like it is sitting next me.
Kind of prehistoric looking. Very cool pose and presentation for me.

Neat shot. Makes me think of the last sight of a dying man in the jungle.
