    Almost full frame, my elbows still hurt from laying in the gravel to photograph this guy.

    Fluffed out feathers showing up nice detail in this, grass stems on the right are a slight shame, but I dont think they detract from the bird.if it's any consolation to your sore elbows, it was worth the pain and effort

    Lovely, sharp image . Great perspective ...so the pain worth it . Wish for a slight HA towards you . Would have put this over the top .

    They have lovely colors and the exposure shows them off perfectly. A slight head turn would have been great and I might remove the few grass stems in distant bg just to right of head. Good for you to get the low angle along with the sore elbows. It paid off.

    nice one,good detail and color in the ruffled feathers,bit more head turn would have made this image,but still like it.thanks.

    nice low angle and sharpness. I just love this species, and I also like the habitat captured. HA already mentioned.

    Fabulous image in habitat. Loved the lights and ruffled feathers with lovely colors and great details.Very nice low angle.
