Not a bird I usually get close to. Hubby wanted me to put this one up since he quite likes it, I do and I don't. Yes that is the way the water looked:) Heavy gray cloud cover (Harold:p)

    Nonda,
I like this because it says "on a cold, gray miserable day I can't be expected to look my best." Would wish for less noise which is probably due to the gray light---The water pattern adds interest and I love Eared Grebes!

Hi Nonda I like photographing on those type days !!!! Will take it any time !!!

I like it a lot and the water looks surreal !!!! Might move the bird up a bit if anything Does look good as presented It is unusual to getting that close to one !!!!

Thanks folks. I shouldn't have said that is the way the water 'looked' but that is the way it showed up in the image, not that I'm complaining AT ALL! The Grebe, I was almost in shock, I just sat down and the bank and Grebe decide to not notice me, quite cool.

Hi Nonda, sorry that I haven't been on for a few days. Love the effect of the water and the head angle.
    Very nice.
    Congrats.
