At Pinery you can hear them everywhere no matter which trail you are on.
The light was coming from the side. I compensated for, by using fill flash.
As a result of the direction of the natural light, there was a white halo around the right hand side of the head.
I got rid of that, so people won't think it was the result of sharpening.
Also, there was a bright spot at the buttom left corner that I replaced with green.
    Thanks for coming.

Nicely perched, some detail showing in the whites so it looks like the fill flash worked well, I like the side lighting showing the fine feathers on the neck as well, nothing not to like about this one.

Nice subject, pose, perch, background and composition. My preference would be to crop a little off the bottom and to add a bit of canvass at the top, but it's very nice as is.

Awesome! I love this species, seen it a few times, but never photogrpahed it properly. Great pose, perch, background. A bit of a magenta cast is easily corrected...this time using "Selective Color" and removing the magentas from the "Neutrals".

Fine perch and BG. Nice light and fill as well. Looks much better with the magenta cast gone.

A little more orangie than the rusty color of our Spotted Towhee. Very well done and good use of flash. Nice to see such a nice clean shot.

Hi Karl, I like the placement and pose, together with the variety of colours this fellow has. Lovely soft BG too. I like what Dan has done to correct the magenta cast.

    Thanks Kaustubh.
I would say this has been the best as per my taste.
I have a few at eye level very close, but the background is not clean.
Others sing but against a blue background.
