    Default Texas Oriole

    Attached Images Attached Images

One of the 2 species of Oriole we had in Texas recently. Not sure if this is a Northern or an Orchard so if you can help , thanks. I left it this way, (comp.), as I liked the way the plant framed the subject. I know some may not like it , but it's a matter of taste. Interested in all comments.

I like it. Great pose and gorgeous perch. A little more DOF might have helped the perch, but lovely in any case. I'd remove the second small catchlight (flash?)

Hi Joe, I like the overall setting with the triple line of stems and flowers, and with the bird posed in the centre of them. Lovely yellows on the little guy, sharp, and I like the distant BG. Agree to remove the 2nd catchlight.

Great colours and setting Joe! I also like the comp as is. If anything I would have preferred a pose where the tail is at least partially visible.

Yes Bill , some flash used as fill. Probably at minus 2. Agree about the 2nd catchlight. Only saw it after I posted the image.

    Nice and vibrant.
You have a great BG and I like how the flowers frame the bird as well.
My only wish is for a better body position where I could see the tail.

Great looking setting and bird is nicely framed. I think it would also work if cropped from right a bit and left over flowers and stem replaced with lovely bg. Sorry can't help with id.

This is very cool, Joe. Nice pose, and image design. I'd remove the second catchlight and desat the reds a tad as Arash mentioned. Very well done.
