    Sanjeev, please tell me what exposure mode you were using for this image and why you chose it? The image is overexposed and I would be shooting this subject at 1/4000 in this situation. Your metering mode failed you here.

    Hi Kerry, I was using the SPOT metering mode, I guess i went off the mark a bit while composing, hence the blown out image, I did try to recover as much detail in PS and this was the result. I guess the bird was in focus though.

    Sanjeev,

    Thanks for the information what did you meter off. I use to photograph with spot but have changed (long story) but still do when faced with bright images. The reason I asked, did you meter off the green grass or whites and then did you enter the spot setting in the camera. Kerry is right with the faster shutter, do you have the blinkies turned on for monitoring?
