The fine bars on the wings and tail scream "wren" to me. My guess would be a drab House Wren.
Looks like a House Wren to me also.
I agree it look somewhat like a House Wren.
But all House Wren I have seen was always close to man.
They like old building, hanging baskets, old cars, and etc.
That how they got their name.
This picture was taken in the NF, 25 or more miles from man.
About 30 feet up a tree.

CM, House Wrens live in the wild too, as do House Finches and House Sparrows. House Wrens often nest in abandoned woodpecker holes like this and actually are more prevalent in wooded areas.
