Here is a wild Little Owl that I have been spending a lot of time with recently.

Taking quite late on in the day, so a fast lens and high ISO was required.

    C&C welcome.

Wonderfully composed. The foot up and the expression in the eyes make this image to me.

    Hi Austin,
I really like the layered BG and the black makes owl pop. Nice IQ.
    Excellent view of his foot.
You got a lot of DOF considering you were at F 3.5
I wish the little leaf wasn't there.
    Overall, a very nice shot!

Fabulous on-coming pose; love the raised foot. An unusual look at him for sure. Great stare. I love the gradation of the BG. IQ looks good for 2500 ISO. Nicely done.

Cool shot. I really like the intense eyes and complimentary bg. Excellent low angle as well.

Truly inspiring photography, just in in the world does one get an Owl, or any bird for that matter to run or walk directly towards a camera ?

I am loving these Owl shots! This one is very special...love the running pose and the determined look in his eyes. Great IQ for ISO. Not 100% sure I totally in love with the black portion of the background, but hey, I'd hang it on the wall if it were mine! Thanks for posting this very cool shot!

Hi all, Thanks for your comments and feedback, much appreciated.

I did run two rounds of noise reduction over the BKGR. There was noise in the blacks in particular on the RAW file.

    Thanks again

    Austin

Hi Austin, excellent head on capture, and the raised foot pointing towards you, and direct eye contact puts this over the top. Love the pose with the wings tucked in, looks like someone with their arms tucked behind their back.

Ah, I was just thinking of calling you, then I see this! Good to see they are still around, mine have gone due to the Jackdaws

Love the low POV and eye contact, the raised/marching step is a real bonus. As everything looks so central might also crop accordingly to balance, WDYT?

Nice one, good to see you still have your 'MoJo' Austin.
