    Default Texas Dunlin

Still going through my many images from a recent Texas trip. One day was for shore birds. This was one of about 7 or 8 species of shore birds we shot that day.

What a pretty dunlin. Nice pose and composition, Joe. You might try bringing down the brightness a little bit and going for another round of sharpening. Did you do any noise removal on the background yet? To my eye it looks like it could use it (but sometimes my eyes do fail me!).

Whoa. This bird is in beautiful breeding plumage. The SH and BKGR look pretty good to me but I would the small vertical twig on the left. A crop from above would eliminate the boxy look and the excess of negative space. Lastly there is a bit too much head turn towards us the has possibly distorted the eye a bit.

I am curious; was this bird attracted by audio?

Handsome individual. Nice low angle. The shape of the eye looks odd to me as does the catchlight. Did you add it?

Just the catchlight. Don't know why the eye looks as it does. Perhaps the HA is the reason???

Beautiful shot, lovely stance and colours. I am surprised at the density of the black colours, the birds don't appear to be quite so colourful here in UK.
