    Taken more than a few weeks back and no doubt these guys have moved on into the world. They are Great Cormorants.

    1d MK4, 500mm + 1.4 TC, 1/2000 @5.6, 640 ISO. Manual mode with Histogram check. Tripod.

    What a wonderful family scene, Tom. The exposure is good with the blacks on the adult well-handled. I'd be tempted to crop a bit off the left (maybe at the level of the fork in the branch the adult is standing on).

    Nice adult / chicks interaction Tom, well exposed and sharp...I also agree that a crop from the left would improve the image. Thanks for sharing!

    Love the hungry pleading chicks, light is good too sho0wing nice detail in the black backs...I presume there are more nesting Cormorants above this family judging by the droppings on the parents back hahaha
