From the basement at Lonaconing Silk Mill captured using some very faint light painting on only the scale face. I also created a regular exposure to blend the two-which helped me to control the lighting from the flashlight that I used to paint with. (Just a mini-mag).

The technique worked very well Denise. It gives a nice glow to the scales.

Denise, I like the lighting on the scale - it looks like it's lit from the inside.

Denise, there's a very nice "glow" to the face of the weight scale; you did a nice job handling the exposure in a very tricky lighting situation. I'd love to see this with some of your texture work thrown in...an image with a LOT of potential!

Creative use of simple (at hand) lighting equipment. Would not have thought of it.

After seeing your pic, I looked up the Lonaconing Silk Mill. Sounds like a great photo location!

Hi Denise, this turned out quite well and the lighting makes this quite special, and the little cobwebs in the corners of the window help give it the run-down look.
