We call him Luciano. The Pavarotti of our backyard birds. It's amazing how much volume this little Carolina Wren can put out, especially at 5:00 AM outside the bedroom window. When this was shot a week or so ago, he seemed to be calling to entice his newly fledged offspring out of my garage where they had hatched, and into the world at large. Over the course of the day they gradually made their way from the back of the garage to the front, then onto the driveway, and finally onto some nearby branches. I'll post a fledgling shot in the next few days. I wish the tail were clear of the branch. It was, when he was sitting still, but when he puffed up his body to sing, the tail moved forward just a bit. Cropped from horizontal and cloned out several leaves. C&C always appreciated.

Hi Bill, I like your comp, and a great singing pose to go with it. Im fine with the tail merging slightly with the branch, and I like the detail and colours on the little guy.
Extremely beautiful image Sir. Lovely composition.Loved the calling pose, perch and great details on the bird.Very nicely narrated. Waiting for more of the babies pictures.
Very nice Bill. I like the diagonal line of the perch. I like how the leaves in LLC open up toward the bird and leads the eye in.
Good BG.
Excellent IQ.
Agree with you about the tail but not a major issue for me,
Gail
Excellent pose and composition, you did a nice work cloning the leaves, IMO it would be even better with a bigger DOF with al the branch and leaves in focus.
I like the singing pose, techs, processing (although I'd fill in the white area at top right), fresh leaves. Even though there is no hand-of-man here I still get a "backyard" feeling to the image (I say this positively).
