I took this image from Silverton, Colorado and ran it through Simplify, then I used Nik's Weird Dreams filter for more effect. Some Tonal Contrast and finally a bunch of liquify in Photoshop. Hope you like it................

Jay, this fits the week's theme nicely...elements of it remind of some of the effects in "The Scream" by Edvard Munch...not the colors so much, but the "melt". Good use of the liquify filter; not familiar with the Weird Dreams filter, I'll have to check it out. Way to think OOTB!
Nice image. I especially like the liquify effect on the roof of the tthree buildings. The effect tends to unify the three buildings. Not so sure about the large liquify in the trees to the upper right. Maybe more, but a bit smaller or with less opacity. But, the effect here does tend to bring one's attention back from the mountain to the building.

Jay, very creative. I haven't used that filter in a long time so thanks for posting this as a reminder. It isn't an easy filter to use and you did a great job with it. I agree w/ Douglas regarding the liquified trees. Maybe a tiny sliver more room on top. Nice work!
Jay, very Munch-ishI particularly like the liquify effect on the barn and the weird dreams effect on the house next to the barn. Nicely done.

The melting building are great! I need to check out that Weird Dreams filter also. BTW, exactly what Nik software has Weird Dreams?
