    Got this yesterday just after 9:00, light was already a bit harsh, but nice detail in the black feathers, you are not always that lucky sitting with their backs towards you.

    Nikon D90 with 200-400mm VR @ 400mm handheld - 1/1000s, F4, ISO 200.

    Hi Riaan, well exposed on the coromorant, blacks look great. I like the look back pose, and if anything, I would maybe selectively sharpen the head a touch more.

    Ditto on the sharpening. I like the head angle you got, and good wing positions. Good job with the exposure. Too bad the foliage obstructs the tail, not much you could do...
